fuel pump switch

I have a johnson 60hp, 1985. Is it possible to change the fuel pump from a vro to w/o. The oil pump has not worked in 12 years. If it is possible to switch, what modifications, etc. needs to be done.

I think all you have to do is replace the VRO pump with a fuel-only pump, LCS.<br /><br />I take it all sensors, etc. have long since been disconnected.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

thanks red sky. I can get it to run fast, but it still will not run at low speed for any amount of time, as if it is not getting enough gas.
