Johnson 33 hp need info

I have an old Johnson 33hp motor serial is <br />J2736310 model is REXL15S<br />what year is this??? and what spark plugs would it take??<br />thanks

Hello chukher<br />I got REX-15<br />1967 33hp Champ plug J4C gap .030<br />Hope this helps.

Thanks!! I have J6c's in mine and its not running great..i will try the j4c's do you know if there is an NGK compatiable plug???

NGK B6S is the equivilant plug, but most will tell you to use Champions in Johnson/Evinrudes. For some reason NGK's are a problem in them.

Skeets thanks for the info...we must have the same motor....I have another question...Since there is no trim/tilt what do you use when you need to tilt up the motor. Mine has no bracket?? I have a motor totor when trailkering, but when you are ready to put in water the motor hits the ground so I need something in between. I have been using a pice of wood but its not a good choice...any ideas?
