1990 25 hp Johnson carb setting

I have a manual coming but, does anybody know what the initial idle screw setting is for a 1990 25 hp Johnson, (J25RLESB).<br /><br />I have a manual but it only covers up to 1989. The 1988 and earlier are 1 or 1 1/4 turns, the 1989 is 1 1/2 turns.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />DL

An old mechanic friend of mine suggests you open it one and a quarter turns. Then make the final adjustment with motor in gear to achieve maximum rpm.
