Just bought a new powerhead for my 85 johnson 30hp, there is a port on the new head bypass cover that is not installed on the old powerhead? Should I plug this port or leave it open?
Also, a wire is installed in a small cavity in the head of the engine that is not installed in the old powerhead. I think it is a temp sensor of some kind. I plan to start the powerhead swap this weekend. I have a clymer manual and hopefully good luck on my side. Now if I can get the flywheel off.....
