I have a 1996 Johnson Ocean Pro 150 HP. Receintly the shifter has been very sticky, especially going to reverse. I believe it must be the cable. I beleive it is the original one (1996). Is this difficult to repair or should I let a mechanic handle it. Any suggestions appreciated. I have plenty of tools and feel confident I could pull it off. I just don't want to get started and realize I am in over my head. I remember doing a similar job on an I/O mercruser, and the adjustment was so tempermental, we ended up getting a mechanic. Hope outboard repair is easier.<br /><br />Thanks
