this is probably a question only the big guns of this post can answer ... <br /><br />the 59 Johnson 35 has a compression release .. is there any particular technique to defeat the compression release for taking the cylinder pressure?<br /><br />thanks

Remove the 2 screws that connect the link from the starter to the compression relief valve train.
