Today when I started her there was a puff of smoke imediatly and then it was gone. It has never done this before and did not do it on next starts. I used the boat two days ago. The smoke was grayish and only lasted a few seconds but was considerable. My presumption is that some oil had to have leaked into the piston, but how and why. Is this a telltale of something serious or did some freak cercumstance allow this to happen?

Has it only done this when starting real cold?

First time ever. Yes it was a cold start. Warm water and warm day. Did not do it on next warm starts, It has never done this before.
