'66 JOHNSON HELP!!!

I just installed new impeller on my 1966 johnson 9.9.... after reinstalling the lower unit, it will no longer shift into reverse(down) and I cannot even pull the starter rope anymore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.<br />Dustin

Regardless of the cause, your going to have to pull the lower unit back off.<br /><br />Then, see what works. If everything moves OK when apart, then reassemble while carefully following a repair manual.

Thanks for the reply... I pulled the lower unit and found that I had placed a seal when I wasn't supposed to... Anyway, it all works now. Thanks for the help.<br />Dustin
