I have been trying to start my motor for about a week off and on and i was wondereing if it is affecting it. thanks.

Provided you arent just winding on it for long periods. 10 ta 20 seconds of cranking at a time, with a short rest between should not hurt you, turning it over for say 2 or 3 minutes at a go will fry your starter. <br /><br />You might cause some friction damage to the rings if oil isnt getting to them.. So long as mix is getting to them, your ok, weather it starts or not.
