I have a friend of mine who has a 85 hp johnson 4 cyl and he said it is early 80s modle but not to sure. He replaced the siliniods for the spark plugs and now when he took it out on the lake he said it would only run at 2000 rpms even at full throttle. I have not looked at the motor yet but if anyone could give me some Ideas on what to check out this weekend? Thanks for your help.
