The switch is stuck on my hydralic tilt assist in the down position. I cannot get the engine up for trailoring. Any quick remedy for this?

Also is it possible to completely disable this tilt assist 'feature' altogether? I drive normally with it in loose, to allow engine movement if I ground or hit a log. Fun florida waterways where I fish, debris and shallow waters.

Any help is very much obliged :)

Greg

Thanks for any and all help, ideas etc.

Re: Tilt Assist Problem 92 48H Evinrude

I guess I should also add that the cable seems to work well - ther is movement - but it will not switch the hydralic capability.

The motor is off and hanging by a chain (6 inches from the boat so I wouldn't have to unhook all the steer, gas and electric lines) so I could see the whole situation. I really just want to get that darn switch to click. Force does not work.

Thanks again,
Greg

BTW what a great idea for a forum :)
