I'm having a couple of problems. I'm assuming this is a 1977 35 hp (model #35rl77h). The shift lever bolt has been broken right at the spot itgoes under the power head, any suggestions on making this quick and painless and are the parts available and where and what are the part numbers if anyone has a manual handy (until mine arrive).<br /><br />also the starter, in the vise it works fine and when the plugs are removed. As soon as it comes under load ie. the plugs installed, in stops and will not turn the motor. (flat spot on the armature)<br /><br />I'm more concerned with the shft lever as it usually started with in a pull or 2 when the starter wouldn't engage.<br /><br />I've found a number on the shift lever handle itself #384477. Iv'e seached a few marine parts stores and still unable to locate this part, also is there a kit that might contain the parts needed.
