Default need help with evinrude trim gauge wiring

I have a 1990 pro 90hp evinrude on a 28' suntracker party hut. The trim sending unit was on the motor but no gauge inside. the instructions that came with the gauge said to hook up the purple wire and the brown&white wire to the gauge but i don't have a brown&white wire, just a brown wire. that brown wire goes to a alarm to something maybe low oil not sure. can anyone help me wire my trim gauge.thanks.

Seger..... Sender wires: One goes to ground, other goes to gauge.Gauge Terminals:"I" terminal is 12 volts when key is in on position (usually purple wire)."G" terminal is ground wire (usually black)"S" terminal is wire from sender that is not grounded.

Do you have any idea what color the sender wire is to be. the gauge diagram has it as brown&white but I don't see a brown&white wire.thanks.
