I bought a Johnson that is supposed to be a '74/25 hp. I'm trying to order a manual from Ken Cook but they need a model number. The numbers on the plate riveted to the side of the transom bracket are NSN 2805-01-118-1275, CONTR. N61331-84-D-0047, SER. E6261049.

Do you know what is the correct fuel mixture ratio?

Thanks much. :)

kdc2000
If it is truly a '74 or close Model, then it should have numbers similar to those below. Look for a silver welsh plug(Freeze Plug looking) on the powerhead and see if you can come up with other numbers.

Oh yeah, 50:1 on the mix. 1 pint oil to 6 Gal gas.

25E74
25EL74
25R74
25RL74

Excellent, thanks Rick. I remember seeing the plug your talking about. I'll check it tonight. This board is such a great resource. People are great here.
