The "48SPL" was a 50 without VRO or T&T.<br /><br />VRO would have provided a 100:1 mix at idle and low speed, 50:1 at high speed. 50:1 seems to work well with all of the non-VRO engines after about 1964.<br /><br />So. What Beaux said.
