I Have a 1988 2.5 Evinrude. I am new at repairing outboards . I have repaired other engines in cars and lawnmowers. I am trying to find out the cooling path of my 2.5 . What I would realy like to know is this: The water that comes out the peep hole or light spray outlet, is the water coming down from the head ? or is it coming out as it gos up to the head ? I know this is basic knowlege to most of you but it will sure help me understand the cooling system on my motor. One last thing, are all cooling systems the same as far as the routing paths ?
