Ok im back with my 1988 Johnson 6hp:<br /><br />I think i hooked my carb. hoses up backwards because the gas was rushing out of the top when i had it hooked up last night, but it would idle. When I reversed the hoses though, i pumped the ball about 2 times and then i could not pump it anymore, it stopped. Is this the right way to hook it up. The only problem is, when i hooked it up this way, it would barely start, even using starter fluid (even though im not supposed to use that). Any help would be appreciated, i've been dealing with this problem for months, my carb. just came back from the mechanic because i got it rebuilt. I've asked this before but if anyone has a USED carb. for this motor it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
