1969 johnson 60 won't start

Was running fine 2 weeks ago. plugs are wet after attemting start. Gas floating in the lake. Any way to override safety on idle to open carbs all the way to clear fuel? thx

Well if ya got fuel, and even maybe too much, seems like it is time to check for spark. If you don't have any go to the top of the page to Search and enter "no spark."

Check your carb. Seems like your float is stuck and flooding you out.

Thanks I will look at the float first. I think I have spark.
