my Evinrude 115 hp has something missing that is suppose to be in fuel line infront of motor. the line is cut between motor and hull and has gas clamp on each end. these are just resting on hull. is this where a gas filter goes or is this maybe a spot for a hand pumping primer? don't see one anywhere..nor do I see a filter ( filter may be closer to carb- will check). thanks for any info about a primer. this is a 1982 115 hp Evinrude. appears to have a vac controlled fuel pump. Yes you need the hand pumping primer bulb. It is missing. Get one. (Later: The arrow on the bulb facing towards the engine.)<br />A water separating fuel filter somewhere before the engine is usefull too.
