Evinrude 9.9 (84/85)

Hello all. just found the list. Looks great.<br />I have a problem. I have an 84/85 Evinrude 9.9hp.<br /><br />It is my Grandpa's but he doesn't have the owner's manual anylonger. Well, nobody knows what the Oil/Fuel mix is? I can't find anything on it and unfortunately I can't get out there today to get the serial number on it to be more specific. All I know is he bought it in 84 or 85 new. Light Blue in color with a while (gold trim) hood cover. <br /><br />Any ideas or help please let me know. Thanks<br />H.

Howdy, H.<br /><br />The fuel mix is 50:1. Six gallons of fresh 87 octane unleaded regular and 1 pint of TC-W3 rated outboard oil.<br /><br />I suspect that the '84 and '85 9.9s are so close that the same manual will work for either, and same year Johnson 9.9s, too.<br /><br />Good luck. :)
