Hello,<br /><br />1992 Evinrude 70hp Outboard - While boating, the trim/tilt suddenly stopped working in the downward direction. The motor will trim up but not down. When attempting to trim down nothing happens - no sound, etc. Seems like it is dead. There are three different control buttons on the boat. All have the same response. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fluid level in the cylinder. If so, what type of fluid should I use to fill up with? Any ideas on what might be causing this problem?
