I'm still new, but I'll help if I can. I may have the manual for that motor. What horsepower do you have?
Is there something happening that makes you ask this question?

Re: 1981 2 cyl Evinrude 2 stroke
Howdy, Frans.
If it is a 2hp, 3hp or 4hp your engine uses a gravity feed from the tank to the carburetor.
If it is larger, it probably uses a fuel pump operated by pressure pulses in the crankcase. If it is older, it may use a pressurized tank.
Do you have a problem? Tell us your model number and your problem and perhaps we can help.

What boat (length, approx weight)?
Is it running on all cylinders?
What happens if you squirt fuel into the carbs when trying to plane?
