Fuel System Question

I have a bottle of Automotive fuel injector cleaner sitting in my garage. It says that it cleans carbs too. Would it be safe to use this through my 1971 50hp evinrude to help clean out the carbs or should I use only a fuel system cleaner made for outboards?

perfectly safe, but the injector cleaner might be less effective b/c injectors are more sensitive. I recommend Sea Foam. Good stuff, works on everything. good luck

Thanks alot. There isn't a marine store close by and I don't need this stuff so I was hopeing to put it to good use. Engine idles a little rough and this was one of the little things to try before going on to larger things like taking the carbs apart. :)
