When under full power the engine suddenly starts racing and thrust vanishes. Gradually cutting back on throttle the thrust reappears. Having had the transmission apart I can see that it has gears that continuously mesh and that there are two electric clutches one for forward and one for reverse.Is the forward clutch slipping? What can I do about it?

Hi, Roger.You have "spun" the prop. The rubber hub has broken down and is slipping.A prop shop can rehub it.Good luck.
