I have a 1974 4hp evinrude I bought at an auction. It has no linkage from the carb to I think its a timing advance under the flywheel. Where can I find out what I need for linkage? Thanks

Re: throttle linkage

hi, dlab261406, The carb on that motor has a short linkage from the throttle shaft which goes to a cam follower. These parts are mounted to the carburetor. The cam follower rides against a cam on the bottom of the armature plate (timing plate) under the flywheel. There is another linkage that connects the throttle lever to the plate to rotate the plate. The timing advance and carburetor work together.
