my 75 johnson 115 runs for about half hour then it wants to shut down after i rev it up,any suggestions? p.s. thanks Dhadley50 for all your help,it is much appreciated,chanelcat....

Check the carb bowl for gunk. If found, suspect this is also clogging the carb passages and jets. Your engine could be starving for fuel when you increase the throttle. Also, check the linkage for timing advancement, make sure it moves together with the movement of the throttle plates in the carb throat.

Check the venting of your fuel tank. It usually takes from a few minutes to half an hour to develop a vacuum in the tank if the vent is not open or is clogged. That starves the engine. Good luck.
