can't keep running?

I have a 1977 9.9hp evinrude and it is not running good. i have to choke it to keep it running. i have cleaned the carb. and put a fuel pump kit on it, but it didn't help. Also if i put it into gear and give it gas it will run for about a min. then just die out. if you have any idea's please let me know. thanks.

sure it's not sucking air from a bad hose connection or old primer bulb? :rolleyes:
