My starter motor just spins and does not engage. I tried a new battery but it made no difference. Do I need a new starter? Please help as the fish are biting.

Clean the starter bendix and lube. You may have to work it up and down to get it free. Lube bendix at least once per year.

i use tri flow on mine but any kind of oil will work
