Please help diagnose this problem. I have a Johnson 25HP on a boat equipped with an OMC console mounted throttle/shift control. This is a 1999 model. Recently when I shift into gear, the shifter is very stiff, the engine doesn't accelerate, and the warm-up throttle handle comes up. In other words, I can only travel at trolling speed.
