2000 25 hp electric start looses power

I have 2000 25 hp electric start 3 cylinder johnson. Since the day i got it, it has lost power. I have taken it in for repairs and it runs good for a while and then it runs low on power again. What can i do to make it work right all the time.

Hi pauly-wog...<br /><br />There are several things that can cause power loss. Restricted fuel flow, loss of ignition to a cylinder, low compression on one or more cylinders, poor ignition, timing just to name a few. When you take it to the shop, do they mention what they do to bring the power back and is it the same problem repeting itself? Trying to get some idea of which way to go here. Thanks.
