Just mounted optitronix docking lights on bow of boat. Instructions show how to wire these things. Question I have is, these draw 5 amps total and dont say anything about installing a relay. I know when I installed offroad lights on my landcruiser, a relay was installed so you wouldnt burn out the switch. Is a relay needed for these docking lights??? Thank You!!!

Re: Docking lights

fseries is a man of few words but he is correct. 5 amps is minimal and most regular type dash switches are rated for 15 amps so you should be good to go unless you are running other things off the same switch?
