Re: mounting transducer

Seems OK from the picture. But this may not say much. Run the boat at the speeds you want the transducer to work and then look back there. If the water flow is smooth, then you are good to go. If it is not, then you are going to get lousy pick up.

Amir

Re: mounting transducer

nice lookin boat.

might could be a in a little closer to center...make sure it won't be in the wake, and won't come outta the water or get up in the turbulence on a turn to port...make sure there's no strakes or other hull irregularity in front of it. If you do move it to port, don't put it in the way of the trailer bunk.

By the way, your transom needs to be supported by the trailer bunks, might want to think about moving it forward a couple inches.

Re: mounting transducer

I second the little closer to the center. I also agree you need to watch it while the boat is moving. But what do I know, I attached my transducer to my kayak with industrial velcro!
