thanks but im also looking for performancewise and is it a good motor ,and since i dont have original cover is this a red band or brown band......any imformation would help me a great deal thanks
That motor would be a blue band. I think it's the one blue line on top of "Mercury" and one blue line on the bottom of "Mercury", but I might be wrong.<br /><br />Craig
850xs would be a performance motor with a low water pick-ups and is much like a 4 cylinder version of the 1500xs. It should be a short shaft motor. There are quite a few out there that collect these motors.
