Trolling motor question - 12 or 24 volt

I just bought a bowmount minn-kota trolling motor at a garage sale yesterday. The side plates and top plate (basically all the plastic on the unit) are cracked up, and I am going to replace them. Anyways, I called Minn-Kota to find out a little bit more about the motor, since the decal was missing. I gave them the serial number, and they are telling me it's an autopilot motor, 24 volt. However, it does not have the autopilot switch on it, or say autopilot on it anywhere. I don't have any other identification on the motor, I know it's a powerdrive, and I know it's serial number. Is there any way to find out what voltage it is? I'd hate to hook up 24v and ruin something. Thanks!

Double-check with MK again, and tell them there is no indications of auto pilot...see what they say, and go from there.<br />If MK doesn't know what it is by serial #, I wouldn't want to be the one to tell you to go ahead with 24vlt.
