I have a 1972 VIP tri-hull. This boat has no drainage from below deck to the bilege. Is this common for these boats?

Can only tell you based on my experience. I have a 1975 V hull. It had no drainage. I'm in the middle of a floor/stringer restoration and I had 2 gallons of water in the gas tank well, just forward of the forward bilge bulkhead. It had no where to go.

Likewise for me.Putting in new floor and stringers and there were no holes anywhere for drainage.Had to rip out all the foam.It weighed a ton since it was totaly soaked.I will be putting plastic pipe thru the stringers to the bilge to allow drainage.Even with the foam in there it will still have someplace to drain to now.No wonder everything was rotten.

I hate it when manufacturer's don't allow for drainage. Don't know what they're thinking. If it's in water, then the water is going to get into it. Even when it seems impossible.

old glastrons were the same.<br />if water got in from above it had no place to go.
