just purchased a used minn kota trolling motor 74lbs to replace 45lb omc motor, first is the wiring i have already gonna be sufficint, and second,the new motor did not come with plug, it has 2 red and 2 black wires. when i took my plug on omc off it had 3 wires black, red and white, the plug has 4 terminals but only 3 were being used, i hooked up 2 blacks to where the one black was on omc and put a red in each terminal where a white and red were, i had power then but don't think that was the right way any suggestions.
