I hope to get a Garmin GPS unit from Santa and was wondering what everyone's opinion was on the Fishing Hot Spots CD. Is the extra detail worth the money, have you been pleased with it, etc.? If not, what do you recommend? Thanks for the input.
Howdy, Dawg.<br /><br />I fish hazardous waters and unfamiliar waters pretty regularly. The Fishing Hotspots waterproof maps are helpful, but the Hotspots charts on my Garmin 162 are priceless.<br /><br />On a lake that isn't loaded with rocks and bars or that is pretty familiar they are a convenience.<br /><br />I would not venture onto the island infested Northwest section of Lake Of The Woods without it.<br /><br />It is expensive, but a lot cheaper than a new lower end and/or prop.<br /><br />Good luck.
