Minn Kota Power Drive problem

I have a minnkota power drive and it won't turn to the right. It turns to the left just fine and all the speed control stuff is fine, it just won't go to the right. I am thinking there is something amiss with the footpedal but am wondering where else I should be looking in order to fix this problem.

There is a 95% chance that the foot pedal is your problem,I would get it checked or replaced first.

I have a minnkota power drive which had the same problem. Just had to clean the contacts in the foot pedal. No big deal.
