So just getting my bug running again and im installing a streetfire cdi ignition box and it says DO NOT USE SOLID CORE SPARK PLUG WIRES. My wires say copper core. Are they the same or am i okay? The wires are pretty new or else i would just buy new shielded wires.

Ya im pretty sure they are the wrong wires after doing some research it seems that metal core wires in general are bad news for cdi ignitions. Ill be ordering some performance wires off line for some $$

Yep. copper Stranded or solid wires are not a good idea for electronic ignitions.. RFI is killer
