Hey Im having some concerns that I have the wrong fuel mix, but I cant find the info im looking for now for some reason. Can anyone help point me in the direciton of fuel mix for my year. one link said 24:1 but another is saying all models after 1965 went to 50:1. I have mine currently running with 50:1. I hope i havent ruined it by doing so. Thanks in advance for any help you all might have.

You have to remember, what OMC put out was a GUIDE. It really needs to go on a per motor basis. There are some fellows on here that will tell you that a '64 can use 50:1, but a '63 cannot, as that is what the guide says. Well, ask them what the difference is between the 2 motors ? ;)

While more oil certainly wont hurt it, that FD will be more than happy on a 50:1 mixture.

Any motor that doesn't have needle bearings on both the wrist pin and the connecting rod end should be using 24:1.
