Head gaskets went bad. What's the bolt pattern and torque specs?

Also, what would cause it? They just seemed to go bad all of a sudden. Cruising along all find and jim dandy and then poof!

18-20 ft lbs. Start in the center and work your way out in a spiral pattern. Maybe not torqued properly from the start caused it to blow.

The head has numbers on it, for each of the studs. You're telling me not to follow the numbers? Why would those numbers be there?

Well then, follow the numbers on it. No big deal. A lot of heads don't have numbers.

Engine could have been overheated at some point in time. This results in loose head bolt torque which results in "blown gasket"
