What year is this Mariner 25 hp?

I am looking at a used Mariner 25hp short shaft for sale and the seller does not know the year of the engine.
The serial# that he provided is 6611499. Can anyone please help with info on this motor?

Hi there go boat, Welcome to iboats! Serial number 6611499 comes up as an MARINER 25 E MARINER - ( 25 H.P. (1985)
Serial No: 06611499 Model No: 7025505

Parts catalog part number 90-13286 - 18/20/25 H.P. (XD)

I am setting up an appointment to go take a look at this engine, from what I have been told by the seller and seen in some blurry photos, this engine is pretty clean.

Do you have any idea if this is a Yamaha built Mariner? I will look for the Yam logos and "made in Japan" badging, as I have seen on other Mariners... but I am trying to figure this out before making the drive (2 hours away).

So.... Just butting in, but I also have a 25 HP Mariner and have no clue the model or year. The only number I have is on a freeze plug, 001185. I am guessing it could possibly be an 85'??? Saw a chart that had decals and colors, mine fell in the 74 to 89.
