Is it common for an oil cap to leak oil out the top of a 88 75hp Mariner? Before my last fishin trip, I filled it up. Later, after 3 hours on the lake, it started smokin on start more so than usual. I get home and the oil was drippin from the outer cowl. I took off the cowl and noticed leakage around the oil container, but it appeared to come from the cap. Since its sit for several days no more leaking.
