My starter motor has packed in and yamaha dont stock a new one.
Ive done the research on here to know an L4 1993 has interchangable parts with OMC/Mercury/Volvo.
The boatshop here has suggested a starter motor that will fit
1)- P/n : 57-863007A1
Starter Motor fits Mercruiser Models V-6 and V-8 and GM blocks MY 2007 and below , 20 days
This fits a 14" flywheel.
but i think my L4 is a 12.3/4" flywheel. I cant get this confirmed as the starter motor yamaha numbers and starter motor numbers lead to a dead end
i think the starter i need is for 12.3/4 flywheel par no's

? VOLVO #3854750-1 & #3856003-3
how do i know the flywheel size. the engine bay has limited access to measure, but all the sites ive looked at say post 1990 the flywheel on the L4 is 12.3/4
