Ok, long story short as possible, hit a rock in June and shattered my lower unit. Bought a spare from Sharkey's Marine in NJ, that gave out 2 weeks later and sent it back for warranty work, $400 in freight is cheaper that $1200 elsewhere for repairs because that is what I paid for it. Company I fish for misplaced mine when it was returned to them, someone put it where the sun don't shine...:facepalm:
Then got a brand new one for replacement, no charge because it wasn't my fault. Installed it, including my planing fin... It works, break it in several hours, different RPM ranges. Then when it's time to go WOT, low RPM's, about 500 less than previously. Speed is still there though. Try my other prop that I usually get 55-5800 out of, only getting 50-5200, grrr. But speed is still 51-52mph on speedo. Thinking this is a lower unit for 150 2-stroke now. Grrr...
