I've been trying to get this engine going that was sitting for about 5 years. Water pump was shot so I changed that. Starter went too. Changed that aswell. Droped it in the water and had it running for about 10 min til I dopped the warmup lever down and it stalled. Then we couldn't get it to fire back up. We check the spark plugs and there was a milky fluid on them. Any suggestions in what we need to do to solve this problem?

Thanks JB, but I don't see anything in that link to explain the cause of the milky substance that was on the plugs when we pulled them out

Unfortunately we have been through all of these steps. The motor seem to become partially hydrolocked and has a milky fluid like oil water mix coming out of the intake and on the spark plugs.

If you pull the plugs and spin the engine over with the starter, do you get water out of the spark plug holes? Maybe you have a blown head gasket.

Agree with Daviet but also check the exhaust manifold gasket if it's not the head gasket.
