Mercruiser inline 6's: 150 and 160 interchangeable?

Hi there, I have the option of replacing one of my old and worn 1968 Mercruiser inline 6's (160hp, 250 CID) with a brand new - yes, you heard me right, a brand new, never ever started - 1966 Mercruiser inline 6 150hp 230CID. Question is: will it fit bolt on to my engine mounts, transom etc ? If it does then I think I'll buy it despite the hassle of having to replace a whole bunch of gaskets etc. I'm not worried about the difference in hp between the engines since the remaining engine probably doesn't deliver any 160hp's any more...

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... It should drop right in,....

At worse, ya might need a piece or part from the take-out to adapt,...
