I inherited a 12 HP Buccaneer and it appears to be in good shape. The motor was stored in barn and has not been used since 1973. I cleaned off many years of dust and grime and assume the following work will need to be completed: fuel lines, carb kit, spark plugs, coil, condenser, and impeller. There may be other preventative repairs that should be completed that Buccaneers are known for...???? I work 50-60 hrs and week and have not found the time to work on it. I am looking for some one to work on it in Jackson, MI or reasonably close by. Any suggestions on who works on vintage outboards in my area and what should be done to a motor that has not been used in 40 years. I have posted some pictures.

Thanks JTBuccaneer.jpgBuccaneer2.jpgBuccaneer3.jpgBuccaneer4.jpg

WOW!!!! What a nice one, and even has the plastic medallions. I'd do the work for free (just for fun) if I were in the area. But too bad, I'm 1500 miles away. I worked for a Buccaneer dealer when that thing was built. I'd try to talk you out of it if I were closer.
