Hi Guys,

Last fall I put my boat in into storage (outside) and did the usual things to the motor. (fogging, stable for the gas, etc). Due to health issues the boat never made it into the this water year so what I am faced with is about 12 gallons of 10 month old gas sitting in the tank. Do you think it will still be good next season? Should I add more stable into the tank? Should I refog the engine from scratch.. or maybe just respray the cylinders? What about the carbs?

If I need to remove the remaining gas, how do you dispose of it?

Thanks for your advise!

Kerry

You will need to pump as much of the old gas out of the tank as you can. I use old gas in my lawnmowers or my old pickup, a 4 cycle usually will burn old gas without much of a problem, but you might find another use for it.
If the engine was fogged pretty good, you should be OK there. Did you drain the carbs, if not, it might be a good idea.
