Default 14' Aluminum Jon w/ 44# Trolling Motor...how fast will it go? How long will it

Hi all,Just some general questions about trolling motors, etc.I have an aluminum 14' Jon boat with a MotorGuide 44# transom mount trolling motor.I was wondering how fast it might go in calm conditions and was wondering how long a charge on the battery would last. Any ideas on this. Plan on taking it out tomorrow for the first time and was wondering what to expect. Also, what's up with the 50amp circuit breaker that is recommended? I can't seem to find one around here at any of the stores and was wondering if they were necessary or can I go out and test this thing without worry? Any advice would be great. Thanks,MW

3-5 mph ?You should be able to run for 3-8 hours, at half throttle, maybe as long as 12 hours, depending on the battery condition-age-size.

My 14 flat bottom has a 27 lb thrust and will go about 3 1/2-4 mph with a good battery. I am wanting to step up to a 45-50 lb thrust because I don't use gas at all.
